Little Gasparilla Island is a bridgeless barrier island located off Florida’s west coast in Charlotte County. It is the southernmost island of the chain formed by Don Pedro, Palm Island and Little Gasparilla. Little Gasparilla Island is approximately 2.5 miles in length and averages between a .25 to .5 miles in width. The island has access to both the Gulf of Mexico and Placida Harbor and is physically connected to Don Pedro Island to the north; however, the Don Pedro State Park serves as a buffer that only allows for pedestrian access.
Whether walking the beaches in search of sharks teeth, fishing for snook in the early morning surf, birdwatching, kayaking around the many mangrove islands, taking nature walks or relaxing and reading a good book, you’ll find living on Little Gasparilla Island to be one of the most relaxing and pleasurable lifestyles imaginable. Not to mention our incredible sunsets.
